Duties Description Under the supervision of a State Police Security Specialist 3, incumbents will perform the following tasks and activities:
DUTIES
Performs the full range of staff supervisory responsibilities such as conducting performance reviews and completing probationary reports for State Police Security Specialists 1.
Schedules and posts all duty and shift assignments.
Reviews and approves all overtime requests.
Monitors and evaluates performance to ensure adherence to the State Police mission, goals, policies and procedures; takes corrective actions as necessary in cases of subordinate employee misconduct, unsafe conditions, and security risks.
Provides in-service and on-the-job training for security personnel in security techniques.
Maintains knowledge of applicable federal, State and local laws, rules and regulations governing the security operation.
May perform all duties of State Police Security Specialist 1.
Minimum Qualifications Six months of service as a State Police Security Specialist 1, SG-8,
OR
One year of experience performing duties directly impacting the security and/or emergency management of public or private sector buildings or facilities.
Preference may be given to candidates with security services supervisory experience.
Minimum qualifications must be met by the closing date of the posting.
