Duties Description The incumbent will be required to:
• Frequently move heavy equipment, supplies, furniture and materials from and/or to trucks or within the facility by physically lifting items or operating a forklift, pallet jack, dollies, power tools or hand truck.
• Load/unload trucks and accompany truck drivers and motor vehicle operators as needed to assist in picking up and delivering items and, on an occasional basis may be required to drive the delivery vehicle.
• Maintain and make minor repairs to various machines/equipment.
• Perform general maintenance duties as required.
• Operate copier and other reproduction equipment, hand collating and stapling reproduced materials as necessary.
• Assist machine operators on various print and mail machines by performing routine, repetitive activities.
• Break paper stock packages of different size and weight, place on skids and deliver to proper area.
• Correctly distribute and/or ship printed orders and requisitions to proper destinations.
• Keep accurate daily records of shipments and quantities requested.
• Stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time, and lift standard size packages of paper and supplies.
• May regularly work outdoors, including in inclement weather.
• Communicate with others and able to execute verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
• Possession of a valid NYS Driver's License.
• Travel as Required.
• Work overtime, including weekends, as required. Some out of town, weekends will be required.
• Meet the Department's time and attendance rules.
Minimum Qualifications There are no minimum education or experience requirements for this title.
Candidate must be physically able to perform the duties assigned.
